Sliding Dinette Cushions
I got really tired of the dinette cushions sliding out from under me. I tried a couple of things and found something that worked.
I bought industrial strength velcro from Lowes. It comes in strips about 2 x 4 inches. I used four sets per bottom cushion, one set near each corner.
The velcro will not stick very well to the plywood so I put two staples from a staple gun in each piece of velcro, one at each end. Drive them in tightly with a hammer so their is no danger of them tearing the seat cushions.
The velcro sticks very well to the vinyl side of the seat cushions.
When I need something from the storage area, I lift the cushion and plywood together. That is easier than detaching the velcro.
This has worked well so far.
