Today started out very nice. Perfect temperature, wide scenic views and no traffic. Then around noon I hit 100 miles of Mrytle Beach SC. Putt putt golf, water parks and hundreds of traffic lights. Which is fine if you like that kind of thing, but I don't.

The map said scenic US 98 ran along the breach. When I got to the bridge to access the road, it was crawling bumper to bumper. And from my vantage point the scenic view included multiple 20 story hotels. I skipped that road.

The Gulf Islands National Seashore was great. I thought there was a ferry at the end so I would not have to backtrack. I was wrong. So I back tracked and then a major bridge was closed. I back tracked again and waited 20 minutes to make a left turn because all the traffic had to take the same detour.

I did not get any photos today because of frustrations with all the traffic. I didn't even make it to my planned motel. But watch the video. I got some decent footage.

Tomorrow is another day. I might alter my plans and skip the ocean scenic views and just haul butt to get to an area with fewer people.
