This blog and video covers days 1 and 2. We finally got to Vancouver after Delta cancelled our flights at the last minute. Watch the video for the gory details. It was a sunny, fun day when we finally got on the ship Nieuw Amsterdam in Vancouver and headed up the inside passage to Ketchikan AK.

Day 3 put us in Ketchikan where we did a little shopping and checked out Creek Street. Day 4
was sunny as we took a float plane excursion from Juneau to the Taku Lodge for a salmon meal. Day 5
was the best so far for me. It was another clear sunny day on the White Pass and Yukon Route railroad out of Skagway.

Day 6 put us in Glacier Bay early in the morning. The ship got close to a few glaciers, stopped and did a 360 so everyone could see the views. Day 7 we traveled to College Fjord late in the day with golden sunlight bouncing off the snow capped peaks. Laurie and I also celebrated our anniversary.

Day 8 The cruise portion of our adventure is over. We ride a Cruisetrain from Whittier to Anchorage and stay in the Westmark Hotel. Day 9 we ride the Holland America McKinley Explorer train from Anchorage to the McKinley Chalet Resort. Day 10 We ride a National Park Service bus into Denali and become part of the 30% of people that actually see Denali. It is often covered by clouds

Day 11 We travel by coach to Fairbanks and take a river boat cruise. Day 12 We chill at the hotel, see the Alaska Pipeline and start the long journey home. In our video we also share some thoughts about the cruise.
