Lift Eyes for the Front Landing Jacks

Eyebolt

There is no good way to grab the jacks and raise them when hooking up. Also, the jack feet are sometimes in wet dirt and it is almost impossible to raise the jack feet without getting your hands dirty.

So my Dad and I welded eye bolts to the jack feet. If you don't want to weld them, you could drill a hole through the feet and use nuts to attach the eye bolt. There is a raised area on the foot. If you put the eye bolt there, the nut will not press into asphalt surfaces.

I also bought something called 'Snaps' from camping world. The spring pins were a pain to get lined up with the holes when raising or lowering the jacks. I paid too much for the 'Snaps' pins but they are worth every penny. They are spring loaded pins in a metal cylinder, pre-aligned with the hole in the upper jack.

Just pull the pin, the jack falls, release the pin, grab the eye bolt and lift slightly. The 'Snaps' pin slides into the first hole it encounters as you lift the jack. Works very nice.
