Water Heater Switch

I really like the electric heating element in the water heater. But not having a switch inside for the heating element is stupid. With only 30 amps of power there are times when we need to turn off the heater because we have the air conditioner running and we want to use the microwave. Use all three at once and you will throw the circuit breaker.

I am not going to run outside, open the access door on the water heater and turn the power on and off. How hard would it have been to add a switch on the inside to control the AC power? They manufacturer does it for the 12 volt control.

So I always add a switch. I don't have photos for the Copper Canyon but you can see what I did for the Forest River Wildcat here and the Keystone Cougar 325SRX here.
