Voltage Meter
Some campgrounds are fairly old and the electrical system may not be able to handle the power that modern RVs consume. Also since I run my generator often I like to know that it is putting out sufficient voltage. I got the meter in the photo below from Camping World.
Low voltage can damage your air conditioner. I also recommend the outlet tester in the other photo. You can get one of these for $5 or so from Lowes or Home Depot. I have mine in an outlet where I can leave it plugged in. After I hook up in a campground I glance at it to make sure everything is ok. This thing checks for a number of problems such as open ground, reversed hot and neutral, etc. Well worth the $5.
