Extra Table Space

Tray set up where I use it.

With two small boys there never seems to be enough space on the table top while we are eating.

I've solved that by adding two TV trays to the camper. The first question was were to store them so I could easily and quickly access them. I decided the space by the entrance door was a good spot. I had to move the existing magazine rack up a couple of inches.

I screwed two eye bolts into the wall near the edges so the eye bolts would hit solid wood. This wall is hollow. A bungee cord works well to hold the TV trays in place.

I put a piece of no skid shelving material behind the TV trays to protect the wall and keep the trays from sliding side to side. To keep the no skid material in place I attached it to the wall using a gummy material made to hang posters without defacing walls. It feels and looks about like 'silly putty' and rolls off the wall easily for removal. It can be found at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

I put the tray at the end of the table and it works well for holding a gallon of milk, loaf of bread, bag of chips, etc and frees up a lot of space on the table top. It doesn't look like much of a help but it is amazing how much room this frees up on the table.

Storage area near the door. You can barely see the blue no skid material behind the TV trays.
