Black Tank Pipe Mount

This photo shows the 'T'. It is a little difficult to see detail because I have attached heat tape to the pipes and covered the tape with insulation and aluminum tape.

If you do nothing else to your Wildcat, fix this quickly. The 4 inch pipe is loosely supported by a thin strap that wasn't even tight on my unit. I know of at least one person who had the 4 inch pipe break loose from the black tank because of the lack of support.

My dad welded a couple of small pieces of angle iron in a 'T' shape. We attached the top of the 'T' to the bottom of the frame rail with self tapping screws. The vertical part of the 'T' is adjacent to one side of the pipe. We drilled a couple of holes through the angle iron and used something like a large muffler clamp to clamp the pipe to the 'T'. A a piece of rubber was inserted between the clamp and the pipe to protect the pipe.

This photo shows one of the original thin metal straps used by the factory to support the pipes. This one supports the 2 inch grey water line. The 'T' I installed supports all the lines so well that this strap is not really needed now.
