Water Heater Switch

I really like the electric heating element in the water heater. But not having a switch inside for the heating element is stupid. If we only have 30 amps of power there are times when we need to turn off the heater because we have the air conditioner running and we want to use the microwave. Use all three at once and you will throw the circuit breaker.

I am not going to run outside, open the access door on the water heater and turn the power on and off. How hard would it have been to add a switch on the inside to control the AC power. They do it for the 12 volt control.

I always add an AC switch for the hot water heater
